I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Here is what will be happening in our classroom this week!
Math - Students will be having a math test on Data Management on Monday. They were sent home with a study guide on Friday. The focus of the math test will be on Mean, Median, Mode, Range, understanding and interpreting information using various types of graphs. Our next math unit will be on Measurement. The focus will be on perimeter, area, and converting units of measure.
Language - Students have completed their Media Brochure. We are starting a new read-aloud called "Hiding Edith." This read-aloud will develop students ability to use observation and background knowledge to determine a conclusion that makes sense. This literary skill is called Inferencing. This is a non-fiction story of a young Jewish girl named Edith Schwalb who was sent to live in a safe house after the Nazi invasion of France. It is an amazing story that students will love.
We have our Faith Assembly Monday afternoon at 1:30. There will also be a second assembly which is the launch of our Lenten Project. "Change for Change."
