I hope everyone had a beautiful Easter Weekend with family and friends. I hope you have spent some time reflecting with your family on the great love Jesus showed us on the cross.
Students had a great time on Thursday with the Egg Drop STEM Challenge. Students had to design a basket and use specific materials to prevent their egg from cracking on landing. The egg was dropped from 1m, 2m, and 3m ( ceiling range). Students used the 6 c's and were very engaged in their project! STEM is science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Usually, a STEM project is a combination of two or more of the core elements. We will continue with our STEM challenges throughout the remainder of the year. Check out my Twitter for some pictures and video that I have posted.
Math - We will continue this week with fractions, decimals, and mixed numbers. I will be sending home practice sheets for students to be working on at home. Math tests have been corrected on division and multiplication. Students need to continue to practice their multiplication and division facts on a regular basis.
Language - Students have been assigned to a book club group. Our Bully-Free Zone will have students participating in the following Language Arts components: Reading, Oral Language, Writing, Working with Words, and Assessment. This will be our Language Arts focus for the next month. I am excited to get our Book Club started.
