Another great week to look forward to! I cannot believe it is nearly the end of October! Keep connected to my Blog for November updates in the Calendar. Just a reminder, that on October 31st , students are encouraged to wear black and orange, no Halloween Costumes.

In Math, we have just begun a new unit on Patterning (growing, repeating, shrinking with different attributes). I am also encouraging students to practice their multiplication tables on a nightly basis to be prepared for division (short and long). I will be sending home practice sheets and we will be going over multiplication strategies in class.

In Language, we are still working on our partner biographies and have started writing summaries. We have talked about what a summary is, what is included in a summary, such as a plot, main characters, a problem and a solution. We are almost finished our read aloud about Rapunzel. Students are enjoying this book!

Progress Reports will be going out very soon. More information about Parent/Teacher Interviews will also be posted. Please make sure your child has an indoor pair of shoes, especially for the change in weather that we have been experiencing.
